Brian and Shann Perkins extended a kind offer to us to come and speak at the Great Lakes Conference. The theme was "Encounter the Almighty." We jumped at the opportunity to encourage our brothers and sisters there as well as to see old friends and be encouraged by them. Because all three of our girls are now homeschooling, we could take them with us and keep moving forward with school. We even had a field trip in Detroit to add more meaning to a book that we are reading for English class - nice. The conference was incredible. It was filled with fantastic lessons and edifying fellowship. The music ministry there is amazing. The dedicated lives of the disciples is inspiring. So much to say and these few photos don't do the event justice. I got a small camera recently and this trip was an opportunity to try it out, so this entire gallery is a bit of an experiment.
